Rock Pools, Wilderness and Waterfalls Sunday Jan 31 2027
This is one of Sydney’s hidden hiking gems, combining lush bushland, scenic creek crossings, tranquil swimming spots and spectacular harbour views into one rewarding adventure. Winding through the heart of Garigal National Park, this varied trail follows peaceful waterways, shaded forest tracks and sandstone ridgelines, with plenty of opportunities to cool off in clear rock pools along the way. Far from the crowds of Sydney’s better-known walks, the Middle Harbour Creek Loop offers a true wilderness feel just minutes from the city, making it the perfect day hike for those seeking nature, challenge and a refreshing swim in a beautiful bushland setting.
